Pineapple Extract is produced from the fruit of Ananas sativus. The moisturizing activity of pineapple is due to its carbohydrate content and other compounds. These compounds prevent massive water loss thus stopping dehydration. Additionally, some of these compounds form a protective film on the skin, preventing and slowing down transepidermal water loss.
Recommended use level: 0.5 - 5.0%.
